Project Euler
For those who don’t know (and why am I always the last to find out about these things?), Project Euler is a way for bored hacker math genius types to waste time. That is, “math genius types” from my point of view. I’ve never been very good with numbers.
I figured I’d share the solutions I’ve written to the problems I understood enough to solve. Sometimes, particularly in the cases having to do with primes, I’d just shell out to primes(6) or whatever’s handy. My excuse: no point in reinventing the wheel to solve new problems.
Bear in mind that running these programs will tend to give you the answer with little or no actual problem solving, and half the fun of Project Euler is hacking your own solutions together.
Also, you’ll note I tend to brute force problems a lot. Like I said, I’m not a math buff. Sue me.
